Ian Richardson, Consultant

Ian is a highly regarded corporate lawyer and was formerly joint head of corporate for Eversheds LLP in the north of England, before he moved to London to head the firms venture capital group.

After leaving Eversheds, Ian became part of the executive team which set up Covenant Healthcare Limited, a start up business the medical sector and which was subsequently sold to Cognetas in 2005 for £170m. Ian remained with the group until April 2007 when he left to pursue other business interests.

Ian was a founding partner of The Needle Partnership, taking an active role within the firm until he retired from the partnership late in 2008. Ian is now a consultant to the firm and remains a non executive director of private and listed companies. His experience and comercial knowledge brings a unique understanding of mergers and acquisitions and venture capital investments to the firm.
