David Hill, Consultant

David has specialised in employment law throughout his career. and has enjoyed a consultancy role with The Needle Partnership LLP since the firm was founded in October 2007. He trained in London and was a partner in one of the UK's largest national and global law firms for over twenty years, most recently leading its Human Resources department in Leeds.

His work encompasses both non contentious and contentious work with particular emphasis on the employment law aspects of mergers and acquisitions and contracting out, contracts and service agreements, restrictive covenants, redundancies and restructuring, disciplinary and grievance issues, termination of employment and employment law claims.

David prides himself on his pragmatic approach to employment law problems combining clear advice and commercial awareness. He acts mainly for employers but also deals with engagement and termination advice for directors and senior executives.

David is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and was a visiting lecturer on an MBA course at the University of Bradford for three years.

Outside of the office David enjoys watching cricket and rugby, playing bridge, walking and family life.
