Stephen Griffiths, Partner

Stephen is a senior corporate lawyer with expertise in a wide range of corporate transactions and has previously practised at a small number of regional, national and international law firms with a presence in Yorkshire. Stephen has managed teams of specialists to deliver corporate solutions to agreed targets for his clients winning notable praise from them at different times. Stephen is particularly strong in the MBO field although traditional merger and acquisition/disposal activity is his stock in trade.

Stephen studied law at the University of Sheffield and then completed his training at DLA Piper, where he stayed for some years after qualification. He has been in private practice for more than eight years and is rightly regarded by his clients as a safe pair of hands in a number of fields whilst achieving trade press recognition with some regularity. He has worked extensively on acquisitions and disposals, group re-organisations, corporate investments and many related matters.

Stephen also specialises in share option schemes and other share incentives (including employee benefit trusts) and has been involved in the design and implementation of schemes for clients ranging from small unlisted entities to some of the largest publicly traded companies.

Away from the office, Stephen is a keen golfer, plays squash and football regularly and snowboards when possible. He is fluent in French (all disciplines) and speaks conversational Italian. He is an associate of the Institute Of Linguists.
